Silverlight Cream for January 11, 2009 -- #482

In this issue: Fons Sonnemans, Eric Oszakiewski, Tim Heuer, and Bill Reiss.

From SilverlightCream.com:
Silverlight 2.0 Sudoku
Fons Sonnemans posted a real-live working Sudoku board... very cool, considering I'm a Sudoku junkie. Works great Fons... keep me updated with enhancements!
10K CONTEST SUBMISSION
Eric Oszakiewski brings the tally up to 3 Phoenix Silverlight User's Group members that have entered the 10K challenge... wow... wonder what the metrics on that from other User Groups are :) ... good job, Eric, and very Southwest of you!
Silverlight Tutorial: A movable, rotating camera
Quadra Offshore has submitted a few things to me, and this is the first of two Tutorials they have on their site... pretty good if you're getting started.
Using Encoder 2 templates for existing media
Tim Heuer responded to some email about Expression Encoder and turned it into a blog post about producing a player even if you don't need to encode anything.
Frame Based Sprite Animation in Silverlight
Bill Reiss gives us some code for getting started with Sprite Animation in Silverlight. Given the games I've seen from Bill... this is good advice!

Stay in the 'Light!

Dave/Fons,

I don't see how to add comments to Fons's post, so I'll leave one here. I did a quick Silverlight Sudoku application myself some time ago. It may not work on the RTW bits since it's over a year old, but maybe there are some ideas there that might help with what Fons is doing (like sound, perhaps?).

Here's the link:

Hope this helps!

Hi David...

Actually, that is in the database at SilverlightCream. I don't always go back and reference previous versions, but once I saw your comment I remembered it.

Thanks for the note.

-Dave
