From SilverlightCream.com:
Concepts To Become A Silverlight Master (Series Part 4 - Security)
Bart Czernicki has Part 4 to his Silverlight Master Series ready to go already! In this one, he focuses on Security.. a must read if you're interested in protecting your Intellectual Property.
Silverlight 2 on the desktop
Brian Finnerty of InnerWorkings has compiled his list of where to go to learn the basics of Silverlight before jumping into the larger tutorials we seem to be finding... a good list even though he left off Silverlight Cream :)
Effects and Transitions for Silverlight
Nikhil Kothari is moving forward with his Silverlight.FX and in this latest addition, he's providing a method for creating pre-packaged declarative effects and transitions... very cool stuff!
Silverlight 2 and HTML 5 - Being Online/Offline
Mike Taulty jumped on the Online/Offline concept of IE8 and decided to bubble that up in Silverlight, then in Silverlight 2 and HTML 5 - Being Online/Offline ( Part 2 ) he details some issues that arose around his work.
Show/Hide a Border and other Border fun
MParsons at the Silverlight SDK blog investigates the Border object in detail, as in show/hide for instance. I could have used this about a month ago :)
New Tutorial: DataBinding and Data Templates
Jesse Liberty announced a new Tutorial on the Silverlight.net site on DataBinding and Data Templates ... and has links to 3 other new ones on DataBinding as well... definitely something to watch!
Silverlight data binding and value converters

Silverlight Cream for July 30, 2008 -- #338

Mark Monster on cross-comain-scripting issues, Page Brooks on his treadmill, Mike Snow on the Mouse Wheel, Michael Scherotter with a URI Property, Laurence Moroney using XPS to read, and Chris Hay with a SL Desktop App Launcher.

Don't forget: August 11th is the deadline for entries in the Silverlight Control Builder Contest '08... I know you're out there, I can hear you breathing... I want to see some great entries!!

Koen Zwikstra is having some issues with SilverlightSpy on x64 platforms and has posted Need help: Silverlight Spy on x64 platforms. Check it out... he's done a bunch of all of us, maybe somebody out there can help Koen!

From SilverlightCream.com:
Silverlight Networking - Using a proxy to overcome cross-domain-scripting troubles
In his 5th article on SL Networking (you ARE paying attention and reading these, right?) ... Mark discussion the solution of using a proxy to resolve the problems he ended his 4th article with.
Controlling your Treadmill from Silverlight - Part 2
Page Brooks is continuing his investigation into controlling his Treadmill from Silverlight. Seriously folks, get your submittals in and give Page some relief :) ... interesting fun stuff ... but if I do this, where do I hang my shirts to dry?
Tip of the Day #23 – How to Capture the Mouse Wheel Event
Mike Snow shows how to use the HtmlPage object to capture MouseWheel information in your Silverlight... very cool and useful!
Uri property in a Silverlight 2 UserControl
Another short and extremely useful article is this one by Michael S. Scherotter showing how to implement a URI property in a User Control... I like how he started off one way, it didn't work, but he left it in and fixed it... saves us all that effort of saying "hey, why didn't he..."
Read about Silverlight in XPS
Laurence Moroney has implemented David Anson's XPS Viewer App that I've blogged about a bunch... Laurence has the first 3 chapters of his new book in the viewer ... so try out the viewer and try out the book... win/win!
Silverlight Desktop Application Launcher
Chris Hay has been investigating launching Silverlight from your desktop, and this is his first cut at something ready to show... interesting idea.. I can see this being used in demos.
