First off let me say this: my buddy Pete Brown of AIS is giving a Webcast on Silverlight 2 for Business Apps on Wednesday March 19th... I've messed that post up enough, I wanted to do a clean job of it for once :)
And as long as I'm editorializing, I've added another link on the footer of these posts. SL2 has been so busy, I didn't want those articles lost in the clutter, so I've started another global tag on my main site for SL2, and consequently there is another link just for those.
Jesse Liberty on controls in controls, two articles from Ashish Shetty: Passing Init Params to SL2 and a discussion of the SL2 app model, Delay shows using some SL2 controls in WPF, and Tim Heuer on Embedded fonts in SL2.
From
SilverlightCream.com:
- Tip of the Day: Content - It Ain't Just Text
- Jesse Liberty shows us that while it's common to put text in a button, for instance, it's ain't necessarily so... cool stuff and definitel helps you get started thinking outside the box!
- How to pass initialization params to a Silverlight 2 app
- Ashish passes along what is an internal FAQ on how to pass initialization parameters to SL2 ... how cool is that?
- Silverlight 2: Application model
- At least for me, being a 1.0 kinda guy, I need all the help I can with understanding the SL2 model, and this is another good post from Ashish. This is the same link as the other one because I can't figure out how to get a link directly to the individual articles :( ... of course it's taken me 3 tries to get Pete's webcast right (so far), so who knows, I probably missed something important :)
- Silverlight 2's ListBox and ScrollViewer controls running on WPF!
- I've blogged about Delay having worked on some of the SL2 control goodness we all are embracing, well he now shows how to take those right into WPF!
- Embedding fonts in Silverlight 2
- Tim Heuer once again shows that even though I am at home, he can produce more product than me while bouncing around in a bus and getting presentation materials together! ... this one on embedding fonts in Sl2, and haven't a lot of people been waiting for that!
Stay in the 'Light!
