Admittedly there are other Silverlight Tutorials available, and of course there is the QuickStart delivered with the SDK.
I'm seeing some of the same questions asked again and again on the forums and at the same time seeing Silverlight presented in 'basic' tutorials with AJAX and Visual Studio all merged together.
That's one way to do it, and is certainly a good user experience, but in my mind muddies the water for a good developer experience trying to get his/her arms around Silverlight.
To that end, I'm beginning a series of HTML/JS/XAML-only tutorials as a simple thought-to-browser idea for helping the beginner see quick results without getting bogged down in unnecessary details. I don't know how many of these they'll be. It may depend on the action I see them getting. For now I have the first (linked above), and the second is partially done.
