Please join us for a DBA SIGs Live Meeting on October 22, 2008 at noon EDT
titled "Automating Common DBA Tasks".

Meeting Abstract

Database Administrators often spend hours each day doing the same repetitive tasks; checking Error Logs, Backups, Drive Space, Agent History, Job Logs, and other common "checklist" items.  Learn how to easily automate these common tasks in SQL Server 2000, 2005 and 2008 using the tools that are already available in the Operating System and SQL Server.

Presenter Bio

Jonathan Kehayias is a MCITP Database Administrator, MCITP Database Developer, and SQL Server MVP who got started with SQL Server in early 2004 as a database developer and report writer for Infinite Energy Inc.  After two and a half years working in TSQL, in late 2006 he transferred to the role of SQL Database Administrator for OSI Restaurant Partners in Tampa, FL.  He has experience in consolidating and upgrading SQL Environments, running SQL Server in virtualized environments, and performance tuning TSQL code.  He can often be found on the MSDN SQL Server Forums, or at the local Tampa SQL Server User Group meetings.
