Okay, upgrade was trivial..

but not seamless.  I opened the site in VS 2008, and it gave me the standard "are you sure you really want to do this?  and do you want to make a copy".  It ran through the process in a few seconds.  But it did not build.  After a few minutes of looking over the result, and a dummy shell I found that the config section of the web.config had a namespace associated with it that the tool could not find.  This namespace wasn't listed in the dummy site.  I just deleted and all is well.


Upgrading my personal site to VS 2008 and .Net 3.5...

Grabbed the VS 2008 bits and installed them a few days ago. Decided to update the site to Asp.net 3.5 so I can use all the new tools to annoy the 3 or 4 people that actually go to my site (my daughters, friends that might want to see pictures). I have a TFS server in my basement (not much of a box, as it supports a design team of 1, maybe 2 if my wife decides she wants to contribute). I am currently installing the new team explorer bits to get the latest version of the site. This site is based on ......
