You may notice that my blog carries the title “theSenator”. I thought a bit of explanation might be in order.
At a Microsoft event in 2004, my hotel was totally messed up by Westin. Much to there credit, they worked very hard to get everything in order, and eventually handed me a key to a room on the top floor. I rode the elevator to floor 16, stepped off and started looking for my room. I eventually arrived at a large set of double doors, much more elaborate that a traditional hotel room door. I opened the room and found that they had solved the issue by giving me the Senator's suite. Two floor, 55 inch HD flatscreen TV, a bathtub that appeared to seat at least 6 (why a senator would need that escapes me (sarcasm)). I made the mistake of letting some co-workers seeing this room and the name “theSenator” was born.
