Although all of us know that ASP.NET 2.0 is starting to adhere to more internet standards such as XHTML, Section 508, and WCAG; How many of us really knows what that does for the customers of our websites?
I was lucky enough to work for a great company that had to convert and implement the Section 508 standard for their product about 2 years ago. This was an eye opener (no pun intended) for me as I never realized that there was technology that was able to assit many disabled people to surf the net. I know I am nieve. :)
Anyhow, on to the point.
While I was checking out MSDN about a month ago I printed off an article that looked interesting and never got a chance to read it. Finally while I was at the airport in Las Vegas I pulled the article out and quickly consumed it. I found that I couldn't put it down. It was very engaging and extremely informative. Needless to say I learned a lot about the new tools and 2.0 framework that I haven't really seen hyped up anywhere else. I was very impressed.
If you have about an hour (or less for a good speed reader), check out this article.
The title is: Building ASP.NET 2.0 Web Sites Using Web Standards
It is well worth the time invested in reading it and the author has done an excellent job.
