It's not much to get excited over, but Lee Richardson on his Rapid Application Development blog has posted the first screenshots of SharePoint 2010. Here:

They have been captured from the recent Tech-Ed 09 session videos, and quite clearly show in-line AJAX editing of list data. The big red button on the first screen indicates this is the alpha version of the product which a Microsoft contact recently told me had been floating around internally for some time now.

Tom has also blogged about the following other forthcoming features which had been missed from my earlier post:

  • SharePoint designer will support saving workflows to re-use for provisioning
  • BDC will probably support updating and inserting data
  • SharePoint 2010 to support ASP.Net Data Services API

Things are now certainly coming to light about the new SharePoint product, and the closer we get to July's beta release, I am sure more details will slowly be leaked out to keep us all excited..
