About Me:

Dark Visual Studio With Resharper - My VS Settings (Colors, Windows Layout, ... )

I heard few comments about my VS color scheme in the last demo day, and Mohamed Korayem mentioned it in his blog post about the sessions. Many asked me to share it with them.

Here's how my Visual Studio looks:

The idea of dark colors originally came to me from Dave Reed [ASP.NET Team] 's "Join the dark side of Visual Studio" post (which Dody pointed me to). Some color effects (like current line highlight) are special enhancements by Resharper.

So, I exported my settings file for color and window layout and everything so that you can go and download it. You can use it with VS 2005 or VS 2008 (even if you don't have Resharper, but you might then encounter some false warnings, and of course won't get its enhancements).

Have fun

Oh, and it doesn't even remotely look like the screenshot you posted.
I attempted to reset all my settings, then apply the settings again, but no luck.

I'll keep looking around some more, I suppose.

Thanks.

Hey, that was used with R# 3.0. it should work the same for R#3.1 though!

One tip to you is: make sure you enable the "highlight current line" in the "Advanced" Tab in R# options.

Anyway, here's even better tip:

How about using "Import Settings" not "Reset All", and selecting ONLY :
All Settings -> Options -> Environment -> Fonts And Colors

Tell me if that worked for you.
