Yesterday was a pretty exciting day. I am a braidsmaid in a friend's wedding this fall and we girls got together last night to put together the wedding invitations etc.
Oddly, my arms are sore from using her embosser on the invites but its cool to see things moving forward on the wedding.
Now what may you ask does this have to do with being a geek? Well...some people may consider it geeky that they've decided to hold a 1700's period Scottish wedding instead of your typical seen in on "As the World Turns" a hundred times standard American wedding.
For example: My Dress is going to look like this:
Cool huh?
Best part, that dress can become my garb for Ren Faire <yay>
So while a wedding on the surface doesn't appear geeky, us geeks are gonna make it that way.
