I am currently reading "ASP.NET 2.0 MVP Hacks and Tips". I picked this up to read because I had heard there was a really good section on ViewState. And sometimes, you pick up a book just for one particular thing. This is it.
It has been such an enigma in troubleshooting that there are at least couple CodeProjects out there and well-known .NET guys like Paul Wilson who have written ViewState decoders. So like a lot of other .NET Developers, I've had my fun with its behaviour. I'm curious to find out what others have come across. Anyone care to share their ViewState stories?

NOTE: Back in April of last year, Microsoft released KB article to provide some insight into troubleshooting the generic "Viewstate is invalid for this page" error.
