Windows XP Pro: How to disable the Shutdown option for user.

Hi all. Yesterday I was setting up my friends PC (Including re-formating and re-installing with Windows XP Pro). There is a requirement that certain users should not allow to shutdown computer. I changed the account type tp limited for those users but still Shutdown option was available. I guess I am not that familiar with XP as windows 2000. Since, I am in guru's world now, I think I will get proper resolution from you guys.

Gravatar Welcome Yogeshbhai. Are you the same Yogeshbhai that I know?

Well as for your question, you are normally not supposed to use your blog as a question and answer series. This is not the best way to go about it.

As for the answer to your question, you should use Local Policy editor to change the settings.
