There's a lot of  buzz about Silverlight (SL) and its future.

HTML 5 is good but its not about about to take over SL.

Here's what Scott Guthrie's keynote at Dev Connections:

Bt"The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated"  Check out one of my favorites: like Eddie Rickenbacker! One of my favorite folks!

He also said, "I have More people working on the sl now than any time in sl history."

And this is my favorite:

"Don't believe everything you read on the internet."

This is totally awesome!

Silverlight is much better with its support of .Net and much better than HTML (any version) .

I love SL, it totally rocks with all of its features.

Even I love Silverlight a lot and wish that Ms would continue its support but all depends on how much MS is investing in taking it to other plateform (Android, iphone, BB etc.) Silverlight works great on Windows plateform but for one to make a marketable web site it has to work cross plateform, and that's the key area where we need to see some progress. I can live without some feature in Silverlight but would love to see my app running on Android based phone or iphone and other plateforms.

I'm almost certain that the "More people working on the sl now than any time in sl history" are by 95% exclusively working on the windows phone now. :->

Open notepad write a simple Hello world save it as htm. Now open in Android, iphone, , nokia , Safari, chrome, firefox, ect..... It simply works.

Lets take a complex case, Open google maps in android, iphone, ie, firefox, works!!

Now open bing map. Does it require desktop client silverlight or mobile client silverlight or the mobile development silverlight..for my Nokia phone ?? understand the problem here ??

Ya better move the silverlight to WP7 development
