TechEd Europe and ITForum 2006
I'm off to TechEd Europe and ITForum 2006 in November and I'm wondering who else is off over there! From what I understand the two events have very different audiences, the geeks and the techies will be at TechEd and the IT professionals and architects will be at ITForum... Hmmm... so what is the difference between the ITPro and the Ubergeek? Surely they have the same aims? Who knows... maybe I will find out more when I am there! Look out for the girly geek dinners that are going there both weeks, ......

A new blog just for the girly geeks
It was pointed out to me that my "mobile blog" has a lot of "girl geek" stuff on it and is becoming interlaced... as such a friend suggested that I should have an additional blog just for the girl geek stuff. Well I sat and thought about it this evening and it does make a lot of sense. I am hoping that it won't stop as many people hearing about the girl geek stuff and this is my only concern with splitting them apart as 2 seperate blog sites. For now however the new site is Girly Geekdom and for ......

Zindoo by Nubiq
Well I thought i would have a look at another new mobile offering tonight. And it looks like this time it's some software from the Irish company Nubiq which is a spin off company from Telecommunications Systems Software Group (TSSG). Last month they launched their first product Zindoo. ”Zinadoo is targeted at the average individual/organisation and doesn't require any programming skills. There are also many text based services around the site which users can customise to meet their needs and ......

Mistakes of the Mobile Marketer!
I got an e-mail this morning from a marketing manager who was advocating their new service. They even offered a free trial of the software, so I thought hey, why not. If it's good then I may actually write about it. "Just a quick heads up on a brand new service for cell phones (www.YouMail.com) that I think your readers will get a kick out of! YouMail allows you to record unique customized voice mail greetings based on caller ID. Imagine one greeting for your mom, another for your wife and more for ......

Hallam Foe - New Media Blogging
Well I was one of the bloggers at the Hallam Foe film preview. Now I'm not one to advocate films without having seen them first hand in one way or another. And in the case of this film I got to see it from script to first screening, and it has been a journey. I have to say that I really enjoyed reading the script and I read the whole lot in an evening. I loved it. However somehow David MacKenzie managed to get what I had seen in that script on the screen, almost as I pictured it. Granted some of ......

Barry is media wh*re and loves B*ndage! (apparently!)
As some of you may know Barry Dorrans, my honourary girl geek friend, has been pimping himself out to Microsoft (again... this time) for a Channel 9 video here in London. The video features Barry, Dave and Ian along with Dave's lovely wife and was released online yesterday evening on Channel 9. I thought I would just embarrass the guys a little and spread the fun by telling everyone who knows Barry and also Dave Oliver (from right here at GeeksWithBlogs) to go and watch the video... it really does ......
