I had a quick look over the latest Windows Live Search product that was released earlier this week. On the whole I was quite impressed. It gave me information about people who link to my blog and who talk about London Girl Geek Dinners that I never knew exisited. Some don't come up on the Google search at all.
However on the other side of things, the list that is there is not extensive and although it stated a set number of results it didn't show all the results that it said were available. It seems to be one of the biggest issues with all the search engines.
The rest of the tools to me were nothing out of the ordinary, however I am one of those people who is very hard to please and as such I guess I shouldn't put my expectations so high!
Things I like about live.com.... Ease of configurability, language options, lack of clutter!!!! No HUGE adverts! Feed search is useful as is the news section.
Things I don't like:
The scroll bar is really annoying in firefox and IE... and isn't exactly easy to use (and I'm a dev, not a standard user!). The image searches were a little slow. Where is video search ;)
