Do you ever play word games when you are bored at work and the phone rings?
For example, at an "un-named" company (and not one I work for), a team of call centre staff used to play this game where each member of the team is given 10 really obscure words or phrases and has to try and fit them into conversations during the hour. They could only tick them off if someone else in the team overheard them say the word. One of the guys managed to get all 10 of his words into a 15 minute conversation. I think that was the record there! (Oh and with no customer complaint either!)
When I am bored in my current office and not really having a team of people to play it with I can't really do this, which is a shame but I do wonder how often it does go on because I'm sure there are some very odd conversations that occur either within companies or between companies or even between companies and customers. And I need a laugh from time to time, so tell me all about any that you know of!
