Where should I go on vacation in November

I have been trying to figure out where to go on vacation in November... mid to end of november to be precise... It has to be somewhere warm and sunny to get away from the cold english winter weather... and ideas or suggestions...

I am fussy, it has to be somewhere interesting and have lots to do, and not be too expensive to just go on my own.

Take a look at Lanzarote. The canary islands are reasonably warm at that time of year and there are quite a lot of things to see there. I've had several good winter holidays there...

Venice - which isn't that warm in November but is so wonderful it doesn't matter. Or Naples and the Amalfi Coast - warmer :-)

Naples and the Amalfi Coast: good call! I went in November 99 and the weather was OK (we had a little rain). You can visit the ruins at Pompeii (although people say that nearby Herculaneum is better preserved). I personally thought that Capri was over-rated. But you can go to the top of mount Vesuvius which feels like the top of the world. So there's certainly lots to do. We enjoyed the amalfi drive sooo much that we did it all over again the next day! Also, Positano is a great little place to stop of and have a little walk about.

4* Sri Lanka 14 nts from £602

4* Maldives 7 nts from £649

... are just two ideas.

I know of cheaper travel sites, but I know you don't like hassle.

Canarys are warm, the sea will be cold, but I know you are a girl with a bit of class so you may want to look else where.

Amalfi coast is fantastic but it ain't going to be Bikini weather in November.

Bill, Venice is a beautiful and amazing city, but not a place to go on your own, it is a city for lovers.
