BumpTop - innovative GUI metaphor prototype

BumpTop is an experimental prototype that extends the familiar "desktop metaphor" for graphical user interfaces. The idea is to make files on the desktop appear and behave more like their physical counter parts - paper documents.

The way i see it BumpTop is a prototype of a new desktop metaphor for computing, and a pretty damn intriging one at that.
Update: Peterme isn't impressed. I don't think BumpTop is going to replace WIMP either, but there are certainly some applications where some of the BT ideas could be useful.
