I think I was undermining Firefox for all this while and was just neglecting and ignoring the hype around it. I was speaking of my Microsoft developer friends and engineers (they mainly use Microsoft products) and they said that around 50-60 of them have nearly abandoned Internet Explorer and now use Firefox browser for 95% of their browsing.
