MSDN User Group Tour: Windows Presentation Foundation
Speaker:
Jerome Carron, Microsoft Canada
The Microsoft Windows Presentation Foundation (formerly code named "Avalon") provides the foundation for building applications and high fidelity experiences in Windows Vista, blending together application UI, documents, and media content, while exploiting the full power of your computer. If you haven’t had a chance of working with WPF yet this is going to be a great way to explore Windows Presentation Foundation using an application we wrote that not only demonstrates the power of WPF but showcases some interesting integration with other Windows products and technologies (We’ll highlight technologies like UPNP, Windows Media Connect, Windows Sockets and a Roku SoundBridge M1000).
