Underwater photography using the Canon A95

A year ago I bought myself a Canon A95 digital camera preceding a vacation with my wife to Maui.  We got some great photos from that trip with the camera, and everyone was impressed.  In fact, a picture of a purple flower I took made it into the BBC's Pictures of the Week column.  The only pictures that didn't turn well were the ones we took underwater using single-use (disposable) Fujifilm cameras which we had processed by Kodak.

This year we had the opportunity to return to Hawaii.  Things worked out well with our vacation being at the same time as my birthday.  And my mother, being the excellent mother she is, sent me an early birthday present -- the underwater housing for the Canon A95.

I had the underwater camera housing on my Amazon wishlist for a long time, but because of the cost it wasn't an option for me to purchase or to get as a gift.  I didn't think about it that much until we found out we could go back to Hawaii this year and then I remembered the disappointment of those pictures.

I decided to do a review of the underwater camera housing (WP-DC50), because of the lack of information on the web.  The only review I could find was a short one on the product page on Amazon.  I just received the case, so for now the review only has first impressions; however, I will modify the article and re-post after my vacation.
