So, should my wife and I go to Kauai or Hawaii (that is the Big Island)? This is not a technology post, but something that has been occupying a lot of my time.
I've looked but cannot find strong enough reasons on either side to make a decision. We're pretty sure that we want to go to one of the Hawaii islands (French Polynesia is out of the question for cost considerations). We've been to Maui (me twice), and O'ahu is too busy. But, I cannot make a decision against these two islands without more information.
So, please let me know what your experiences have been with either island -- or alternatives. Any information including your experiences with hotels and various activities would be appreciated. We pretty much want an equal mix of activities and relaxing. Our activities will definitely include snorkeling, horseback riding, and walks on the beach.
