ViXS TV Tuner Driver Windows Vista 64

So after searching in vain for a 64 bit driver (of any kind) and on the verge of giving up I decided to just try the 32 bit driver and had success. Vista 64 made the appropriate adjustments and away I went. Obviously, this is not a guarantee for others out there using this TV tuner who are also trying to run Vista in 64 bit, but if you are, I have copied the link to the driver (for those of you with Gateways) below.

Gravatar I downloaded and installed on my Vista 64-bit machine. I think it worked but now, I don't know how to use it. I installed the cable at the back of the card. I'm a dummy. What do I do now? 5/27/2008 12:53 PM | Robert

Gravatar One easy thing to do if you have Vista Ultimate or Home Premium is to use Windows Media Center to record television (you should also be able to watch TV programs through the interface once you've got the drivers installed). You can also stream this video back to a Windows Media device (like an XBOX 360). I am doing this at home and had to upgrade my wireless connection to "N" in order to support it consistently, but it can be a fairly cheap way to record TV. 5/29/2008 2:07 AM | Toby

Gravatar Well, I don't have these. I have Windows Vista Business 64 bit. I don't have "Windows Media Center". I'd think I could update something to have it. Yes, No? 5/30/2008 4:07 PM | Robert

Gravatar Well, you can update your Vista license or you can check out other media recording tools. I haven't used anything besides Media Center. 5/31/2008 9:06 AM | Toby
