Theo Moore Questions... Morphology? Longevity? Incept dates?

***EDIT: PLEASE NOTE! My interest in this subject is purely for ethical reasons. I've no interest in hacking for another reason than to try and protect the companies I work for from such attacks. ****

Been sort of interested in the ethical hacking area lately since I've been doing some of it for work. It's nice to be exposed to something new at work every once in awhile.

During my exploration, I realized it would be handy to have a good reference on the subject. I found what appears to be a good book on the subject, and I'll probably pick it up at some point.

Anyone else have any suggestions for a good reference?

I just found this book today and thought of this post (I am not stalking you):

Web Security Testing Cookbook, 1st Edition

From what I have reviewed so far it looks like a fabulous book on using tools to perform security tests (or attacks if you like).
