First off, let me say that the guys over at The Software Inquisition have written a very good article on the use of classes in QTP. I have been looking at the applications I will be automating at my new employer, and been considering using classes to do some of the heavy lifting for me. Whilst considering them, I had some thoughts, and thought I might expand on their example. First off, VBScript classes don’t produce true objects. Why? Well, there is 1) no mechanism for inheritance, and 2) there ......
I found out the hard way at my job that QTP 9.2 isn't supported on the version used with 9.1 and previous. Unfortunately, there isn't any documentation that points this out. I did manage to figure it out after several different tests. Something else worthy of note: Since Hp bought the testing products from Mercury, support has seriously suffered. I was down for 5 days whilst we were trying to get our license server up and running correctly. It took calling our AE and threaten not to renew to get ......

It was still amazing this year, too..wow....
No, seriously. If you were expecting a punchline, there isn't one. Gaiman (named for the author of the same name) is getting a little old, and as a result, is getting "a touch of the rheumatiz". Basically, his back and hips are getting arthritic. Poor guy. We are giving him a glucosomine/chondroiton power blend in his food to help him. It does work, but every now and then, he has to go to the doc, who gives him a script for Prednisone (sic) to reduce the swelling. Really hurts me to see him suffer. ......
I've had a few people asking me where I've been lately. The answer I'd really like to give would involve being taken away from this planet to fight a war for an alien race based on my scores on a video game..... But that's been done, I think. The truth is rather mundane, as it turns out. I took new employment with a company (8.7 miles from my house). This new job doesn't require a plane, nor does it require bi-weekly drives to Atlanta (much as I liked seeing the crew there). Don't get me wrong, though. ......
