Code Camp 3.0 went off well in Charleston, SC as expected this Saturday. Had a great time speaking, as I always do, meeting people, and reconnecting with other geeky developer folk. Some random thoughts:
- Sure was sorry that my hero, Bill Ryan couldn't make it. Apparently, he was just deathly ill. It did afford me an opportunity to speak to his lady on the phone. She has a lovely voice. :-)
- There were, as normally, only about half of the attendees who registered
- The food was excellent! Good Job to the crew!
- Our sponsors really delivered on goodies to give away; the swag rocked. Given the number who showed, many people went home with multiple things.
- I managed to get through my one hour CSLA presentation without a single thrown egg!
- Had a great time meeting our Microsoft representatives. I was surprised to learn that Doug is no longer in our area, but I think we are in good hands with Brian Hitney and Chad Brooks. Thanks for coming, guys!
- 4.0 next year will be in Greenville. Hope I make that one, too, at least as an attendee, but I'd rather speak if I can.
And that's about it. Hope to see you at the next one.
Now, if I can just get out of the house for the one this coming weekend in Charlotte......
