I have a pair of sound cancelling headphones made by Shure. They work very well, and I really like them. When I use them, I can hear nothing but my toons, and no one can hear my toons. This is how it's supposed to work, in theory.
We have a guy on our gig who has a pair of Bose. These are pretty expensive "on the ear" headphones. He swears by them. He says he can't hear anything with them on.
and it's no wonder.
I find it wonderfully ironic that his noise cancelling headphones are so loud that everyone in the project room can hear them. I was thinking recently that any headphones are noise cancelling if you turn them up loud. It sort of defeats the purpose if they are so loud it hurts your ears, wot?
and imagine the "air drums"......funny enough I've considered YouTube.....
