Posted for no particular reason, a commentary on the trade paperback for V for Vendetta:
After seeing the movie, I decided to re-aquire a copy of the trade. My ex-wife “ended up with” (read as: stole) most of my stuff whilst we were separared, and this was something I missed. It is a new copy, not worn and scuffed like my last one (unlike my copy of “Dark Knight Returns”).
I think this is some of the very best comic writing I have ever read. I was also surprised to see how little they really changed the story for the movie. Naturally, some updating and such was necessary, but the core of the story is changed very little. Seriously worth a good read.
I've read it twice since I got my new copy....
