Ok, ok...I have cooled down a little, and I am going to cut the iPower folks some slack. I called them, they promised to be better, and I promised to be more patient. I'll certainly keep some notes on how it goes this time around.
Wish us luck, as we try to mend our damaged relationship....
Ok, great update.... I cancel my service, and the woman on the other end of the phone tells me “Ok, it's cancelled. You'll get your money back in 10 to 15 days.” I am stunned: they can take it from you instanteously, but it takes 10-15 days to put it back???? How the heck does that work? Their support sucked, and that's why I cancelled. However, they decide it takes 10-15 days to put the money back???? I am going to continue up their chain with this. I warned them that if the money was ......
I used to use this service for my webhosting awhile back, and it was pretty good. Since I was loooking for a reliable service, I decided to go with them again after comparing the services. Boy, what a mistake. To this very minute, I've been waiting to get my login information and billing confirmation. I can go to the site, and see that the domain has indeed been used, so I know the billing must have kicked in. However, I've tried on several separate occassions to get the support folks to send me ......
I am looking for a good, inexpensive web-hosting package with reliable service. I've checked a few on the web, but there's always a catch somewhere. You know, the setup fee is waived and the domain registration is taken care of if you pay the 12 month up front, rather than the three months. Stuff like that. I want something simple, and cheap. It will eventually grow into my family's website as we grow. I am currently using Geocities at present, simply since it's free and readily available. Any suggestions ......
I know for sure that there is one car rental company I will never go to again, if I can help it. Enterprise rental cars lies, plain and simple. They say "we'll pick you up". We called stranded many miles and miles away from home (one state away) after an evil manhole cover ate a hole in our oil pan. We needed to be picked up, and they wouldn't. We told them the national office said they would. They said they wouldn't anyway. We got up very early and called, thinking the chances were better we’d ......
I was just checking the ol' calendar and have realized it's been awhile since I blogged anything. Strange, since certainly a lot has happened. I have been finally moved to the automation team in the last week or so. Went to a lunch meeting with my team lead, and VP to discuss what we want to do, and what our direction should be. Game plan is to have me initially maintain the scripts, rather than do development. Fair enough. I know me well enough that as soon as I get the ability to do so, I'll dig ......
