What's with all the comment spam lately. I must have received 15 in the last two days!! Anybody else having this same problem
A couple days ago, I posted how we finally got a RSS feed up. The problem is since we are hosted on UNIX, I couldn't put a nice blog system like .TEXT up. We are moving to a Windows based server soon, and then I can use something like that. Anyways, I still wanted a RSS file so I found a RSS generator called RSS Builder built by Wim Bokkers. The only problem I had was that RSS Builder didn't support the comments tag. Since we don't have an actual blog, I wanted to put an email address in the comment...
That may be a misleading title...sorry :)If you having trouble getting Outlook to shutdown when your managed add-in is installed (as I was Sunday night), check this post out. It really helped me out. Thanks Eric
Yesterday, I posted how ClickOnce takes so long to publish because it uploads dotnetfx.exe every time. Well, I found that after you have successfully published you application, you can go to My Project -> Publish -> Prerequisites and uncheck "Create setup program to install prerequisite components". Since the Publish utility doesn't recreate /publish.htm, your application installer will still install dotnetfx.exe on the target computer if needed. And you can have that 10 minutes of your life back...
I waste 10 minutes of my life every time I publish a ClickOnce app because it thinks it needs to upload dotnetfx.exe every time. It's smart enough to not recreate the /publish.htm file if it already there. It should know that dotnetfx.exe is already on the web server as well. Hopefully they will fix that in Beta2
Some people are saying that google sms doesn't work with their phone. It has always worked with my phone, but I have been having bunches of problems with Sprint lately. Network password failures and what not. Plus the fact I do not have reception in my apartment (I live 5 miles from their headquarters). I may just go back to trusty AT&T/Cingular. The new Audiovox phone is tight. Scoble can't stop raving about it...
I finally got off my butt and turned our news site into a RSS feed. I don't have an official blog website up for it yet, but its all in the works. Please tune in for company news, paratransit industry news, Goldstar progress, and product releases
It seems simple enough. All I want is to be able to give our clients one phone number to contact us. They would get a message that says press 1 for Kyle, 2 for Tim or 3 to send fax. Then it would forward the call to our cell phone. Ideally, the fax image would be sent to our email. Also, I want to pay $60/month or less, which is our current phone bill with Southwestern Bell. I can't seem to find anybody that does this though...any ideas? I would think that other small companies would like a similar...
Congrats on the engagment, Robz
very cool...it even works with sprint
After watching The Apprentice several times, I've noticed a trend in Donald Trump. After each firing, he discusses his decision with his two sidekicks. I think it is important for managers to allow their subordinates to voice their opinions about business decisions. Allowing an employee to take a little bit of ownership of their company can make a difference in their overall attitude. A happy employee makes the world go round
