I'm studying for this exam right now. I started at the beginning of this Month, and I want to take it within the next week or two.

What I've found is that the MS Self Study kit isn't too fantastic but you can pick it up on Amazon for about $100.

I've found that just going to the MSDN site and looking at the exam objectives is better. In fact, go here http://www.dotnetfun.com/articles/certifications/Passing70536Certification.aspx and it will link the topics back to the relevant MSDN pages.

After going through that list, it's probably a good idea to read the MS Self Study kit, if not just to get some background on the technologies and when/when not to use them.

Andrew, I also have not been too impressed with the MS study guides but I guess I will need to buy it and if there are topics that don't seem real clear to me I will research the topic in other books I have. If anyone is interested in studying along with me let me know. I am more disciplined when I work in a group.

When in college (80s) I often studied for tests with flash cards. I would put the cards aside that I had well memorized and concentrate on the topics still needing work. This web site allows you to create your own online flash cards or use flash cards that others have made public. Do a search for 70-536 and you will see many that others have created. Basic membership is free. I highly recommend.
