For my previous post on preventing more then one instance of an application from running at the same time Greg Young pointed out that .NET has support for mutexes built in so I don't need to use the PInvokes. It looks like I need to look more closely at what the .NET Framework provides before resorting to PInvoke! How to prevent more then one instance of an application from running at the same time
I have C++ code to prevent more then one instance of an application from running at the same time and I need some managed code to do the same. My C++ code just creates a Mutex and checks the Win32 error code to see if it indicates that the Mutex already exists. This has always worked well so I decided to just port the same code. Battlestar Galactica

MSDN Event
I attended my first MSDN Event on Tuesday. It was free and at a local theater located a couple miles from where I work. Everyone got a coupon for a free small drink and small popcorn. That was a nice bonus! The presentation was very well done and very informative. There were 3 sessions. The first was on mobile development with VS2005. I'd already played with mobile stuff with .NET 2003 so this wasn't really anything new to me. VS2005 make things a little easier and you get the new features of .NET ......
