Update: I'm no longer looking for work. I got an awesome job at Perceptive Software!

We just got back from Maui. It was a real bummer to leave, we had an awesome time, but it is good to be home. I got a hat made of hemp... from the Hemp House in Paia We were cold on top of the volcano... We encountered a pod of spinner dolphins also ......

So I installed Office 2007 today and was playing around with Outlook. Wow, it loaded up my RSS feeds and has a feed reader. Cool. Hmm, does it have a news reader also? Searched around for a while and couldn't find it. It turns out it doesn't! Why? It'd be nice to have all that stuff in one app!

Thanks to posts by George and others I've developed a hankering to create a game with XNA Studio Express. With work being busy and a 3 year old at home I don't have a lot of time to do "fun" programming stuff anymore. I going to try to make some time though because I've got what I think is a cool game floating around in my head and I want to try to ......

I treated myself to an XBOX 360 as an early Christmas gift this year. I've only got Gears of War so far but I'm really enjoying it! My gamer tag is Northorn.

Anyone have advice on other good 360 games?

Battlestar Galactica - I loved the original series, yes I'm that old, and I love the new series. Heroes - This show is getting really interesting. One problem I have with this series is that there are so many different characters they don't really progress very far with each episode. Hopefully when they start meeting up thing will speed up. Torchwood ......

The Falling Sand Game A Zen-Garden-like game where you control flow of sand, water, salt, and oil by drawing walls, plants, fire, etc. Surprisingly addictive! They all interact differently. Water and salt mix to make saltwater; fire and water mix to make steam, which then condenses and drips down. Plants grow in water but don't like saltwater. Different ......

I started playing WoW right after launch and leveled my hunter Northorn up to the 40s. About that time I got really busy at work and had to cancel my account. A couple months ago a re-activated the account and have since leveled up to 57. I play on the Elune server and am a member of Sterling Order of Knights(SOK) ......

I just started using Windows Live Writer and immediately started looking for a plugin for inserting code snippets into posts. Here's one I found and have used successfully. Link to Steve Dunn's Blog: Code Formatter Plugin for Windows Live Writer ......

Some of the C# code I've been writing recently communicates via TCP/IP with legacy C++ applications. These applications use a raw packet format where C/C++ structures are passed back and forth. Here is a simplified example of what the legacy code could look like: #pragma pack(1) typedef struct { int id; char[50] text; } MESSAGE; // Send a message MESSAGE ......
