Recently, a co-worker was talking about how wonderful Spotify was, and I decided to give it a go. I signed up for the ultimate version, because, hey, if you’re going to try something, you should give it a fair shake. I’m also a Pandora One subscriber. The end result is that I’m canceling my Spotify subscription and returning to Pandora. I’ll still use it when I really want to hear a specific song, but probably won’t spend much time in it. You should know that 85% of the time, I’m a “Give me X genre ...
Last week I was trying to decide whether to finally go ahead and order Learn and Master Guitar. I'm not sure how I originally found out, but it seems to be a very popular system. The reviews for it are great. Almost too great. Every review seemed to be so good that I started to question the authenticity of them. First, take a look at these Google search results for learn and master guitar. So why not believe them? The reviews seemed a little too close to the same. Every link title "is this a scam" ...
Check out my cousin, Wendy Newcomer - listed as "Best New Country" by AOL Music! The link there seems (as of 6/9/2008) to be bogus, but here is the corrected link to Wendy's feature on AOL's "The Boot". 5 or 6 years ago, I was cleaning my apartment with the tv on in the background. I wasn't watching the tv, but a song started playing on the show that was on, and the song (not the show) immediately caught my attention. The singing voice was so striking. Extremely expressive and painful, I ended up watching the rest of the tv show just so I could see the credits and find out what angel had this extraordinary singing voice. It was Lori McKenna. I searched her out on the Internet and found out that ...
Amazon has Sony on board and with that the fourth and final major player has finally gone to MP3. Which leaves me with a decision to make. Now that I don't need to buy DRM music and I don't need to buy entire CDs just to get 1 song, should I drop my Zune Pass and just start spending the money to build my collection? I only have about 150 songs in my entire Zune library that I have marked as "I Like It". So, in a little over a year I would be caught up. And that doesn't include the music I have on ...
Do you recognize the picture below as your mp3 music library? Then read on and download for free! (picture 1. Before) I've made a small tool that can help you organise your mp3 files just like you want. MapMP3 creates a folder tree like artist - album -title.mp3 for every mp3 file in the folder where it is executing. In first case the tool reads the required information from the ID3 TAG's in your files, but if there was no ID3 TAG found on a file, or it was simply not providing all the required information, ...
A great music service is Slacker.com Slacker.com provides an Internet radio with a few great twists. It is customizable. You can create your own radio stations by flagging favorite artists.
