I've had several clients now that really hate the default look and feel of the basic Sharepoint page. To the point that they have me strip out everything, and reconfigure just a few zones and whatnot.... My current client even wanted me to remove the “Modify Shared Page” link. This left me with an interesting question.... If I remove that tag, how can I add web parts easily?
