Scott Van Vliet Once a Developer, Always a Developer

It’s my pleasure to announce that I will be speaking at Macromedia MAX 2004 this November in beautiful New Orleans!  I will be presenting Java Powered ColdFusion, which will “explain how to leverage the strengths of both ColdFusion and Java to deliver a result that is so much more than the sum of its parts.”  I am excited about this topic, and look forward to putting together some interesting content.

I miss ColdFusion's sheer simplicity with generating HTML. Ironically, when I start to tinker with it again, I get frustrated with no viewstate support ;-)

<br>Some of the new AspX2 features move it closer to coldfusion's tag based code, but its still got a ways to go...

Eric,

<br>Thanks for your comments. Regarding ViewState, it is possible to simulate PostBacks utilizing a ViewState, which could maintain the ColdFusion Variables scope. Hmmm... now you've got me thinking about writing something for this!
<br>
<br>Let me know if you, or anyone else reading this post would be interesting in something like this, as I may tinker around with it ...
