Steve Clements .Net and then some....

I am in the market for an MP3 player and need some advice on which one to go for!!

The driving force behind getting one is for use down the gym, running etc.

I was looking at the Creative Zen Nano (too many bad reviews about the iPod Nano!) but then I found the MS Zune with a million more features but it's bigger and obviously more expensive but when you consider the extra features it worth it.

Has anyone taken their Zune running? Is it to big and heavy to strap to my arm/waist?!?

Anyone got any other alternatives?

Thanks J

I have the Zen Nano and use it for working out. I really like it. The headphones are crap, so you'll want to replace those, but otherwise it's a nice little unit. One of my favorite features about it is that it's simple - just drag and drop songs onto it (no special software like iTunes needed). The arm strap is pretty comfortable, although it has a little tab that can rub you in uncomfortable places. Sound is good with my Sony phones, and it also has FM.

IMO, you can't really excercise with any hard-drive based media player (like the Zune) because they're too big and heavy but also because the shock of running plays with the hard drive.
