Satya Srikant Mantha Reflecting DAX NET and SQL Server

When you try to verify the installation of the Analysis Extensions in AX, you should be able to see the Analysis Database in the Administration->Setup->Business Administration –> OLAP Administration Form. In case, you don’t see it then there is some problem with the Analysis Server Validation done by AX.

This case arises when you are working on Windows Server 2008 with SQL Server 2008. There is a patch available on Microsoft Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Management Objects Collection, just download the package suiting your machine type and execute it. You might need to restart the AX client, the AOS and other services to changes to take effect.

This is likely to solve the issue with the Display of the database in the OLAP Administration Form.
