Scott Lock Thoughts on .Net, Caparea.net and Windows Phone

This is an exciting time for user groups, specifically .Net user groups.  With .Net 2.0, Visual Studio 2005, SQL Server 2005, and Biztalk 2006 there is no shortage of things to talk about, let alone try to master.  Over the next year we will be reorganizing our group Caparea.net, with the intention of offering better content to our members and more value to our sponsors.  This includes developing a new organizational structure, management plans for various aspects of the group, a new website and a more valuable sponsorship model for our supporters.  This is not a an easy task to accomplish.  Only through the help of members can we make this happen.  If you live in the Washington D.C. area and are interested in helping, please contact me by replying to this post.

We (Brian Noyes, Hal Hayes, and I) dedicate a small portion of our free time to making this group succesful month in and month out.  We would love to continue to the sucess but need your help.

I look forward to hearing from those who are interested.

I don't know if this will still work, however I am trying. I came across this post using an Internet Search for .net user groups in the DC area. I am a Sr. Recruiter in Dallas, and have worked the DFW IT market for 20 years. Our owner is friends with someone at a client in MD, 21146 zip code that has several IT openings they have asked us to help source good candidates for. My network is almost exclusively Dallas/Ft. Worth so I am reaching out to you for networking help in that area.

If you can connect me with anyone that might be interested in a C# .net developement opportunity, ideally a contract to hire position with this Annapolis client, I'd greatly appreciate the help. My understanding of the area is that it is a doable commute for Baltimore or DC.

Feel free to forward this to anyone you'd recommend I network with.

The client is also hireing ActionScript 3 Flash hardcore developers (not designers); developers that use Flash develop or FTD, a Microsoft SQL Server DBA and a Desktop Support Tech with Windows and VOIP support experience.

Thank you in advance for any help you might offer.
