Microsoft Regional Director

I've been awarded the position of Microsoft Regional Director. Reginal Directors aren't Microsoft employees-- they are independant developers, architects, trainers, and other professionals who provide a vital link between Microsoft and the developer community and I'm quite excited about the upcoming 2 years and honored to be in such good company.

I want to thank Larry for a great presentation last week, for many of you who asked for presentation material you can download them from

http://www.fladotnet.com/Resources/Samples.aspx

Larry Port is a Senior Developer specializing in rich, web-based user interfaces. He lately has been implementing solutions in Ajax, which allows client-server interaction without a page refresh (popularized by Google Maps, Netflix, and others). The ASP.NET team has take Ajax and created ATLAS, a package of client script libraries with the rich, server-based development platform of ASP.NET 2.0. Larry will present an overview of ATLAS and build a sample app, demonstrating the ease and power of this new framework.
