Hidden Share Revealer

Ever wondered what secret/private folders your buddy in office has shared on his PC? Well, now you can!

Hidden Share Revealer is a tool that gets all the shares for a given machines regardless of its type (i.e system, hidden or normal). The tool will only list down the shares; you can access the share only if the owner has given you permission.

Nothing to install, just download it and run. Get it from here: http://projectdistributor.net/Projects/Project.aspx?projectId=249
(btw... the tool requires .NET Framework 1.1)

Let me know your feedback....

Why not just go to Computer Management, Shared Folders, Shares.

The "Hidden" shares end with a dollar sign.

-OR-

From a command prompt,

net view \\[computername] /all

# net view's /all option + smbclient

shehan: the /all option was introduced in Windows Vista:

I guess you are using a lesser version of Windows.

However, the Samba program "smbclient" can list all shares, including "hidden" ones. You can get a Windows version built with MinGW here:

http://download.samba-tng.org/tng/snapshot/win32/smbclient.exe

Run "smbclient -L computer_name -U Guest%". Ignore the error about the missing codepage. "smbclient -L" seems to work on Windows XP Pro SP2 i386; I did not test it on any other versions of Windows.
