After all of my problems with Dell... it looks like they are going to take it back - without a restocking fee. That should save me about $750. It required an exception to their standard 21-day return policy, which appears to have been due to my Dell Hell Hole post.
We'll see how it plays out before I start believing that Dell support hasn't completely failed me. For starters, I'll wait for the refund... and update this blog when I know more.
