Changes, Part II

I'm changing jobs. My new position involves a growing asset management application that is built on ASP.NET 1.1 and SQL Server 2000. I'm excited to join the team and bring my .NET, SQL and UI skills to task. My first task however, is to do the security accreditation for our new (and growing) job site. My second task will most likely involve training end-users. While the first task causes my face to go pale, the second gets me back into the swing of teaching. This is a good thing as I will most likely be teaching an ASP.NET course at my company this year.

Long range plans include - attending the PDC (for which I just registered today), and pushing the app to ASP.NET 2.0 - maybe even with C# ;). If all goes well, we might just throw in TFS to replace the crappy VSS. Sigh... But if I had one wish for my new job, it would be to convert the whole application from VB.NET to C#. Too bad the lead dev likes VB.NET. ;)
