Yep, I was there at midnight... and just like Felipe - some kids staged a lightsabre fight. I wonder if we were at the same theater (Regal in Manassas, VA).
Anyway, my take is that this movie is better then most SW's perhaps even better than ROTJ. Plenty of killing and general dark side badness. However, I had my issues:
- The CGI was awful! How did George get away with this crap? At times I felt like I was looking at a low-budget video game! In one scene I could of swore that Yoda had a mustache... which disappeared in the next angle shot.
- The first half of the movie almost seemed a waste. Yawn. Boring.
- There was a complete BS scene where a clearly superior opponent is defeated. Pure crap.
Either way, I enjoyed it... and may very well own it. I just can't believe George released it. Maybe he'll clean it up in a re-re-release and charge us all hundreds of dollars to fix his egregious mistakes. Hrmph.
