The FCC's Broadcast Flag, brought to you by the MPAA

"You're out there in the whole world, regulating. Are washing machines next?" asked Judge Harry Edwards. Quipped Judge David Sentelle: "You can't regulate washing machines. You can't rule the world."

According to the appellate judges who ruled against the Broadcast flag, the FCC is overstepping it's bounds. I love it. Just imagine if we didn't have an independant judicial branch. Crap like the Broadcast flag would be forced on us by a confused executive and legislative branche who is finding it more and more difficult to keep up with technology. This just proves the legitimacy of the Judical branch. Bravo. Of course, as CNET reports - congress will likely force this on us anyway. Sigh.
