Paul Thurrott's WinSupersite

I was a big fan of the WinSuperSite for a long time. Paul Thurrott's is perhaps the least-biased person I've seen when it comes to tech. He just tells it like it is. No fluff, all info. Problem is his WinSuperSite didn't have an RSS feed - so last year I dropped him from my daily routine.

While reading through my blogs today someone (I forget who, apologies) mentioned that he was going to have a review of OS X v10.4 on the WinSuperSite. Weird I thought... a review of an Apple OS on an site dedicated to Microsoft's Windows. Yep, so I heard. Anyway, I headed on over and found...

An RSS feed! Sweet, I can now get updates to all of his reviews (MSN Messenger 7, Longhorn, MCE, Tablet, etc, etc.) and now to include OS X. Finally! Paul what took you so long?! ;)

Are you kidding? Paul Thurrott is one of the most-biased reporters out there. He's also the only person on earth who believes the MSN search can beat Google on serach result quality. Dont get me wrong, I like Microsoft and the majority of thier products, but I wouldnt pretend they dont have flaws to the same extent that Paul Thurrott does.

No one said Microsoft or its products were perfect - least of all Mr. Thurrott. I use and enjoy Apple's products - and its because of this that I realize that Apple isn't perfect either. Mr. Thurrott uses and enjoys his Apple products as well, but he isn't sugar coating it.

Is MSN Search better? I agree with you, it isn't (and I don't recall Mr. Thurrot saying it was). Google is currently the king. Same with desktop search. Microsoft just doesn't get it in these areas. Maybe they will someday, but not today.

Besides, I don't see you using .Mac (w/ iBlog) for your blog... instead you use MSN Spaces! Fanboy, go preach somewhere else. No one is buying your snake oil here. I'll stick with honest reporters like Mr. Thurrott any day over the swill that's spewed out from the fanboy sites - because they just don't get it, and neither do you.
