I was wrong. I said that the US has given $300 billion to Israel every year. Well, that was just heresay... that I never actually substantiated. Today a 7th grade old girl commented about how my site has been a great help in the preparation for a debate tomorrow.
She didn't leave her mail address so I can't even tell her the truth, which is that TOTAL US aid to Israel since 1949 totals a mere $84 billion. Still a sizeable portion, but nowhere near what I have previously quoted (though certainly enough that they should just become the 51st state). Naturally the first hit I had on google with *my* numbers was my incorrect post. It looks as if I made it up... though I'm sure that I heard somebody say it. However, that's still no excuse.
Kaylie, I'm sorry I led you astray and I sincerely hope my site was not your only reference. You should always have at least three sources - preferably not blogs which are mostly opinion pieces with very little research. Though I normally do some research and LINK to those references - occasionally I'm just off on a rant and don't feel like looking up my source.
