If you are attempting to access a blocked file type in SharePoint 2007, you will receive the following error:
The following file(s) have been blocked by the administrator
The following describes how to resolve the issue:
- Browse to the Central Admin site
- Select the Operations tab
- Under the Security Configuration section, click the link for Blocked file types
- Select the Web Application that you would like to modify from the drop down list
- Each blocked file extension displayed in the list is blocked by SharePoint. To enable the blocked file extension, simply remove it from the list.
