Chris Williams has posted a couple of rants about GeeksWithBlogs bloggers who post way too many items per day to the main page. See ok seriously and Shades of Chris J Breisch.
I agree that this is a problem. But I don't think the solution is a social fix asking bloggers to stop posting everything to the main page. If its possible than someone, or multiple people, will continue to do it. It may just be an educational thing that the users, especially new ones, do not know about this feature. But as more bloggers arrive the problem will get worse, even if we only post once per day.
I think the real problem here is that the main page is not page-able and there is no RSS feed to it. With those features, everyone can post as much as they want.
This is what I want for Christmas.
